JAMIE FLACK

Taylor is one of my best mates, and having them show up as an ancient, decrepit warlock in full makeup and beard was a bit of a treat. Melissa, of course, looks stunning as Anastasia, but there is something wonderfully unhinged about coming to a comic con as Rasputin, beard, and all.

When we started thinking about what we wanted to do for this shoot, the result was definitely going to need magical effects, so pushing lighting was key, something that would give me a starting point for painting later.

I’ve known Taylor for many years now, and they have been a consistent source of support to me and everyone whose life they enter, so I am always keen to work with them, just as a small measure of repayment for all of their hard work. Along with this, they are a true rock to so many people in the queer community that I am a part of. No more so than when they acted as Dungeon Master for our wonderfully mad D&D group for nearly two years, including the pandemic.

I have grown very accustomed to seeing Taylor rock up in incredibly intricate, feminine clothing and then…madness such as this, and it makes working with them incredibly interesting, every time.
